Counseling Outfitters was created by the Co-Directors of the ERIC Clearinghouse on Counseling and Student Services (ERIC/CASS) to continue the development and delivery of many of the services and products previously provided by ERIC/CASS and CAPS Press. ERIC/CASS, along with all ERIC clearinghouses, associated services, web sites, and toll-free help lines, closed on December 19, 2003. The ERIC system as it had been organized for over 30 years ceased operations. A reorganized ERIC remains and the database is accessible at: www.eric.ed.gov.
